  1. The face - flashed upon the window in the last shot - can only be from result of a lightening bolt, with his last expression etched and frozen forever on the glass. I have heard of these things, but never seen them before.

  2. Yes, you've got it Tom! This is the infamous 'Cast of Thos. Malpurtiance', known locally as, 'The Growling Tom'. In the late 19th century he was famous throughout South Norfolk for "wearing a look as if he carried the weight of the world on his shoulders". It is said that this 'Cast' was indeed the legacy of a lightening strike that 'cooked his goose' (so to speak) in November 1884.
