Yes, you've got it Tom! This is the infamous 'Cast of Thos. Malpurtiance', known locally as, 'The Growling Tom'. In the late 19th century he was famous throughout South Norfolk for "wearing a look as if he carried the weight of the world on his shoulders". It is said that this 'Cast' was indeed the legacy of a lightening strike that 'cooked his goose' (so to speak) in November 1884.
