New evidence

Whilst perambulating the Western Hemisphere I did happen upon this wee treasure. Could it be conclusive proof of the continuation of building miniature structures in the early Norman period, post conquest? Could this have just been a fad? A folly or just a jape.
I suspect The Society would have a word or two to say about that, see if they don't.

  1. Ahhh yes I've heard about these. Post Conquest churches covered in dog skin to make them whether proof so as to protect them from a deluge of biblical proportions, should it come. And since dogs like humans were a lot smaller long ago it seriously limited the size of church exteriors.

The interior was however a different matter and Aunty Gary has hypothesised that the post Norman miniature churches were in actual fact normal (Big) size inside. His theories though are yet untested as no one has been able to fit inside to take a look.

  2. A little to heavy on the 'fint-knap' for my taste.
