Hmm... carrying on: Joanne, this is - as I recall - one of two small shields set in the stone sedilla in Bacton church. As you rightly say, quite the charmer.
Nice visions. Re image 4, a perfect example as to why you should never mix sandstone with limestone, or lime in general.
