Simon Knott - Superb Writing!

I have loved writing ever since I began my career as a secret poet at the age of eight. Indeed, at one point in my early life great things were predicted for me. For instance, one admirer advised that, if I worked really hard and made the most of my talent, I might become, "a minor poet of the year 2000." Alas, I failed to reach such lofty mediocrity. Instead, I must defer to others...

Seriously now, there are times when you just have to be humble in the face of superior talent and acknowledge the accomplishment of another's work. So it is, for me, with this beautifully written piece by Simon Knott.
